Course OUtline
English 9 focuses on the development of students' reading and writing skills. In this course, Reading and Language Arts are blended into various units throughout the year. Students will explore various types of literature including short stories, novels, dramas, poetry, and non-fiction. Students will also express their creativity and viewpoints through informal and formal writing including journals, narrative and persuasive essays. Students will learn and use a variety of reading and writing strategies to ensure growth in the areas of Reading and Language Arts.
